Quite the treat has made its way into our promo inbox. Hailing from Salmo (yes, Shambhala is hosted close to there)… this British Columbian based indie record label King Deluxe has reached out to Deadbeat Digital and given us a very special set of tunes to listen to. Lets just say that this Minnesotan producer under the moniker of Fancy Mike has caught our stamp of approval with his “Madison Square Gardner” album. To add, It has made an impact on us… in the form of not letting us sleep! The warm hiss of the sub-heavy glitch-hop-esque tunes served (and still does) as an amazing soundtrack to catch up on the 1200 blog posts sitting in my blog reader.

We have let our musical tastes run free the past few months, and quite honestly we have to say that during that time, Salty Air by J.Viewz hit the proper strings in our hearts. This song makes us miss the summer, the warm late night cruises throughout Vancity, the clear nights, the beach drinking… just almost brings a tear to the eye. Although this tune is not the usual run of the mill tweaked out bass that we are accustomed to posting, its always good to mix it up and bring forth the music our alter ego’s listen to. Enjoy!
