The title says it all, I Feel Fire. Vancity local dubweight producer is on a roll with his music, and literally kicking it up a notch. With a melodic focus, this tune is unlike previous Antix subbass madness. In the time that dubstep manifested as an actual genre, the music has taken on many forms… and now its taking off to a whole new direction. Taking influence from some good ol video games, he provided us with a preview of what is to come. For all you enthusiasts out there, which video game did he take influence from? FIRE!

Modern disco monolith Ducksauce (aka Armand Van Helden & A-Trak) have stirred up quite a bit of a dust, which is currently trailing them from Coachella. The new circulated rumor on the block claims that there is a new Ducksauce banger coming our way! In sheer disbelief that its “not your regular DS stuff”, I had to take a listen. Holding on to traditional Ducksauce spirit, the track does retain a catchy hook, in this case a sample repeating “The big bad wolf” with some diced up wolf howling samples to drive it along.

HOWEVER, the thing that sets me off, is that the tune follows a conventional tech-house arrangement and sound (opposed to their famed disco re-works.) For all we know, this might be an experimental segway for the DUCKSAUCE duo! Either way, if this is confirmed as the new DS… this shit will tear up any dancefloor! No joke! West Coasters have done it again! Subantix and Elliot Mars roll in full force with a heavy bass number. The subwoofer got worked quite a bit with this tune, it is set to drop on “Play Me Too” in the near future. There will be more info to come! In the mean time, enjoy the tune below! BOOM!

GoldRush deffo packs the punch with his tunage. Our friends at Generation Bass sent us over the upcoming release of the new GoldRush EP. Love HZ (pronounced Love Hertz) is due to drop as a Beatport Exclusive on Valentines Day, and with the theme of romanticized dubstep, the date is just perfect for it. The one tune that shifted the moods into a sway frenzy… mp3 stuck on repeat and all is SC Honey. The sounds can only be described as staggered, resonant, melodic and one hell of a vocal trip. We have been saying how 2011 will be a good year for music, but this is just out of control! Not even 2 months in and ive already had to make room on my harddrive.
