The 808's on this tune are soo fresh that we are compelled to use such terminology like "HOT AS FUCK" and "DOPE-SICLES!" (we really dont use it but it sounded good at the time.) Goldrush – Love Hz EP – Beatport Exclusive, Feb 14th

goldrush-love-hz-generation-bass-2011

GoldRush deffo packs the punch with his tunage. Our friends at Generation Bass sent us over the upcoming release of the new GoldRush EP. Love HZ (pronounced Love Hertz) is due to drop as a Beatport Exclusive on Valentines Day, and with the theme of romanticized dubstep, the date is just perfect for it. The one tune that shifted the moods into a sway frenzy... mp3 stuck on repeat and all is SC Honey. The sounds can only be described as staggered, resonant, melodic and one hell of a vocal trip. We have been saying how 2011 will be a good year for music, but this is just out of control! Not even 2 months in and ive already had to make room on my harddrive.

GoldRush, absorbed in the current resonant energies and profound experience of dancing to/through/within/above/beyond bass heavy music, is on a humble quest to create and deliver music that inspires Romanticism through Dubstep influenced composition. GoldRush is sweating through molten sound and clarifying reflective intention in hopes to one day bring you what you want : the Gold.

Harvard Bass – Pruno EP

harvard-bass-pruno-ep

Boom goes the bass, a steady but sure switch over to the darker more minimal sounds of techno sure looks like the destination for Harvard Bass. We heard this tune and was a 100% much to feature over on DB. The EP is out on Teenage Riot Records and has two remixes, most notable mention would be the Style of Eye remix. You can hear the remixes on soundcloud (click the link) or you can just grab the original below. Cheers!

Diesel Boy – Unleashed!

dieselboy-UNLEASHED-mixtape

Getting straight down to business, Dieselboy spares no casualties with this hardcore explosive mixtape. Honestly, we have listened to this mixtape twice already and everytime left speechless. We can only describe this mix as a plethora of bass that will rape your facial expression into an everlasting bassface. Dont believe it, experience it yourself. The first half is a congregation of the filthiest DnB sir Diesel has hand crafted into a mad pillage of flawless mashes, leaving the second half to showcase his tastes towards dubstep. His upcoming label Subhuman will be a direct reflection of the madness heard in this mix... straight up, big things to come! Dont say we didnt warn you!

Phonat – Ghetto Burnin 2011

phonat-ghetto-burnin-2011

Originally having the opportunity to be one of many rocking this one out at the clubs back in 2010, its about time this crowd pleaser of a choon gets some 2011 treatment. The remixes of Phonat "Ghetto Burning" takes the original for a ride through many different directions. If you have a sweet tooth for some bouncy tech-house, its there. Mofo Hifi made it a mission to keep you satisfied. Techno perhaps? ITS THERE! Nu-Disco, yuppp! Some Dubstep? Well the line has to be drawn somewhere haha, but you catch my drift. If you want to catch some previews and some more information on the Italian sensation known as Phonat, hit up the Mofo Hifi site for more info.

We have a feeling Phonat will be making headlines in 2011, until then though... here is a beautifully sculpted video made for Phonat by Amsterdam-based Italian experimental artists the Savants Collective. Seamlessly merging stop motion animation of slices cut out from picture books with fused CGI elements, it’s a visual feast with the trademark Phonat stamp of approval on top.
