June 30th, 2011DUBSTEPBong has kept occupied in the lab, spending the last few months bubbling and brewing some homemade madness. The release of two new EP’s have finally come through Ultragore Recordings and Dubsaw Records, which we have a feeling will hail down mad playlistings worldwide. Recently known for his gritty evil melodic sounds, will tell you that this young Romanian producer has had a lot of influence from the metal scene… alot like the rest of the skilled producers launching off of the Ultragore imprint. This EP is full of catchy riffs and monstrous drops, guaranteed to have your neighbors skankin out on the dancefloor. The DB personal favorite is “Viral Infection” which contains some great samples circa 2002 video game movie “Resident Evil”. A few flagship snips come from original theme song produced by Marilyn Manson. “Blood Vessel” is another floor smasher with a nice melodic side to it as well, the strings and melodies in that one sound like Norwegian black metal. Do your self a favor and add these tracks to you collection and keep your eyes open for more of bongs work.
Stay Chill..

Warning Warning! Bass overload!! Its about time that one of the fastest blown up names in the Dubstep scene has started a mix series (a little overdue, the Shambhala mixes were way to far apart.) We all know Excision for his cut-throat basslines and mad punching sub-basslines. The launch of his new website up is commemorated with a new mix series entitled “X-Sessions” This mix is a plethora and should I say… an “All-Star” tracklist of the biggest bass one could roll up on a sound system dedicated to Dubstep (…think The Village at The Shambhala Music Festival.) Glancing at the tracklist will reveal all you need to know before even listening to it. Brace yourself… this mix has induced multiple bassface instances… at once!
With Shambhala only 71 days away im sure this is an early taste of whats to come on the PK Sound system. We do have to say that we love the fact he tossed the Dr.Dre mash-up into the swing of things. Not failing to mention the new EP that got released on Beatport in tandem aswell… you can get your listen on at the Excision website. Dont be alarmed when we say you are in for one hell of a ride!

He’s only 26, but Kissy’s packed an awful lot into his short career to date. Whether he’s DJing to a packed out crowd, mixing avant garde new sounds on his weekly Radio One show, producing his own material or remixing for others, the results are always the same: Exhilarating. In the talent rich genre of electro, one name has always stood out as more forward thinking than the rest. Colchester-native Kissy Sell Out first exploded on to the scene with a series of technically ambitious remixes in 2006. His rework of Mark Ronson’s take on The Smith’s ‘Stop Me’, gained him particular kudos and was included in numerous compilations. It was enough to bring him to the attention of radio bosses, who offered the twenty-something design student a weekly slot on Radio One.

We all know Travis Barker rocks, but his recent collabs keep blowing the roof off of our expectations. Blink 182 drummer is now making his mark in the dance music scene tagging along with Steve Aoki for the ride. What could these two possibly conjure up? A track called MISFITS of course! Check the video to see for yourself!
