After witnessing with my own eyes Nero destroying the patrons of Identity Music festival last week this post is well overdue. I believe this album is best listened to hung over amongst good company after a great time…at least thats how we did it. Its a full bodied listen from dubby dub, to disco funk, to a track featuring Gaspard Auge & Xavier de Rosnay of Justice, capping off with a “We can make movie sound tracks to guys!” sort of 17:35 minute monster. Well on its way, the French duo are coming on strong… with a video to get everyone in the mood. Justice will never dissapoint, lets just say that this is some hot and heavy stuff.

Justice – Civilization the video. When will the album be released? Later this year supposedly…but as a consolation prize you can expect the EP to come out June 6th with remixes from Mr. Oizo and some other people. Sebastian & Busy P understand hype. Since the release of  Sebastian’s Embody EP coupled with some dope remixes and a music video Mr. P has gone ahead and released his own review of the goliath 22 track album. The following is Busy P’s review on the Ed Banger album “Total” by Sebastian; set for release May 30th.

1. Hudson River…. The perfect opening soundtrack for a “Diff’rent Strokes” remake.
2. Love In Motion feat Mayer Hawthorne… Welcome to Prince, hmm hmm, Prince of Barbès.
3. Tough Games (Interlude)… Epileptic funk!

4. Embody… Prince goes shopping at Tati (a famous discount shop in France)! I’m so happy to release this song on single, childbirth pain, but finally luckly.

5. Ross Ross Rossé… It’s the classic of Sebastian, one the most sold EPs for Ed Rec.
6. Fried… Total electronic body music, no? One of my fave top five songs of this record.
7. Kindercut… Back to the future? It was well in 1997!

8. Water Games… A hype in music, as his master J dilla did it so well.
9. Total… In my top five too! And if Sebastian were a bad guy?
10. Jack Wire… Beyoncé lined up with my buddy David, however the smoky studio of Sebastian was big opened. Shame (for her !)
11. C.T.F.O feat M.I.A… M.I.A came through the window! Very proud of releasing a record with her. One of my favourites tracks on the record.
12. Cartoon… DJ Mehdi, get out of this body! Sebastian walks between hip hop variations and dark electronica, the side I love the most from him.
13. Arabest… The Prince of Barbes wears tassel loafers!
14. Prime… Epic, I would finish the record with this track. A final farewell.
15. Mean Games… Another little epileptic attack!
16. Tetra… Gaspard from Justice and Sebastian are celebrating at Patrick Sébastien’s home (a french humourist).
17. Motor… The sound signature of Sebastian. Noise, saturation, crackles, but dirty funky.
18. Night… A lullaby version Sebastian. Have good nightmares my little child…
19. Yes… We found the opening soundtrack for the French TV show Le Grand Journal 2012!
20. Bird Games… Short, but it’s for that type of track I signed Sebastian. I tell him often to go to this expérimental side.
21. Dogg… I know that that Metallica want Rick Rubin for their next album, but I would well see Sebastian as their producer!
22. Frustra (outro)… With 22 songs on a record, we can’t say that we are frustrated. Overdose guaranteed.
